High Rise East window falls onto Locust Walk No one was injured by the flying glass, which was found as far as 10 feet from where the window fell. The incident occurred at approximately 4:40 p.m., and it took more than 15 minutes for Physical Plant employees to begin cleaning up the glass. The window was replaced within a few hours. The glass fell after third floor residents tried to open one of their common room windows -- having forgotten that the window was broken, one of the students involved said. When the students remembered that the window was loose and tried to close it, it fell toward Locust Walk. She added that the window has been broken for over a year, although she was not sure if maintenance had ever been notified about the problem. -- Ian Rosenblum
