One of the many groups awaiting tomorrow's release of the preliminary report of the Commission on Strengthening the Community is the Committee for Judicial Reform, formed Friday. The Reform Committee will be responsible for implementing the Commission's recommendations regarding University judicial policy and will propose changes in the much-maligned judicial charter. The Committee, which consists mostly of undergraduates, will be divided into three working groups -- judicial charter, general code of student conduct and code of academic integrity -- each of which will consist of four undergraduates, a graduate student and a faculty advisor. The Judicial Charter working group will include undergraduates College senior Kirsten Bartok, College sophomore Wilton Levine, College freshman Amy Ludvigson and College junior Daniel Pariser. Working on the code of student conduct group will be undergraduates Wharton sophomore Sameer Chandan, College sophomore Jessica Goldstein, College junior Beth Hirschfelder and College junior Walter Mancing. The Academic Integrity working Group is made up of undergraduates College junior Jeremy Chiappetta, College junior Carolyn Choi, College sophomore Ashley Magids and Engineering senior Bindi Shah. The alternate for the academic integrity group is College junior Weiling Chang and serving as alternate for the judicial charter group is College junior Jessica Pollock. University Judicial Inquiry Officer Steven Blum is expected to be one of the faculty advisors to the committee. The Committee will meet with Interim Provost Marvin Lazerson today at 8:30 a.m. in the Harrison Room of Houston Hall to discuss their charge and duties.
