While Penn students prepare for Spring Fling in two weeks, Columbia may be bracing for the elimination of their spring concert in future years.

Columbia's deans have threatened to cancel future Bacchanals, the University's spring concert, if students misbehave at this year's concert, which took place on Saturday. Before this year, Columbia cancelled the fall concert and waited to approve this year's spring concert until later in the school year.

“We expect all students to behave responsibly, whether at Bacchanal or elsewhere; inappropriate behavior and activities on campus this weekend could have an impact on our ability to host large-scale concerts in the future,” Columbia's four undergraduate deans said in an email sent to the student body Friday.

Columbia also dealt with controversy as students were forced to pay for the spring concert for the first time, but quickly refunded all tickets and issued more tickets after outrage from the student body.
