Which Philadelphia university is the safest? Billy Penn answered that question with some helpful data.

Billy Penn used data from 2011-13 to look at the level of crime at six Philly universities -- Penn, Temple, Drexel, Saint Joseph's, Villanova and La Salle. While Penn had the most crime on its campus, it had the third highest crime per 1,000 people with St. Joe's and Villanova No. 1 and No. 2, respectively.

The article also compared Penn and Villanova's numbers from 2013 side-by-side, showing that Penn had more vandalism reported while Villanova had more rapes and vandalism, among other categories. Villanova had the highest number of sexual assaults reported per 1,000 people while Penn was fifth in the category.

Meanwhile, Penn also had the fewest number of liquor/drug violations per 1,000 people while St. Joseph's and La Salle were an easy No. 1 and No. 2.
