Students will have to wait until Sunday afternoon to hear the results of the freshman Class Board and Undergraduate Assembly elections.
Two violations have been filed against two different candidates. While the election results were supposed to be announced late Friday night in Huntsman Hall, the Nominations and Elections Committee will instead hold Fair Practices Code hearings Sunday afternoon before making any results public.
Both charges filed were due to alleged poster-hanging violations by two separate candidates.
The first of the two violations was filed by College freshman Tomas Piedrahita, who is running for Class Board School of Arts and Sciences chair and UA representative, against College freshman Arjun Mahadevan, who is running for Class Board president and UA representative.
The NEC filed the second violation itself against College freshman Bill Ding, who is also running for UA representative.
The FPC hearings — which are open to the student body — will be held in Huntsman Hall 250 on Sunday at 1 p.m. After private deliberations, the NEC will announce its rulings regarding the violations and then announce the election results.
