Even though both Penn men’s and women’s fencing faced strong teams at the Philadelphia Invitational over the weekend, home court advantage ultimately won the day. This past weekend, the Red and Blue fenced against a plethora of big-name teams, such as Duke, Northwestern, Temple and UNC.

This weekend, Penn gymnastics is giving its fans a preview of the team’s season and an opportunity to see how its athletes stack up against one another through its annual Red and Blue intrasquad meet.

At the Garret Penn State Open this weekend, Penn men’s and women’s fencing knew they would take on some of the best teams in the country, such as OSU, Notre Dame, Harvard, Yale, Princeton and Penn State. And they came out strong.

This weekend, the Penn State Open will serve as a benchmark for where each individual on the team stands at this point in the season.

So what are you going to do this Saturday? Homework? No! Watching Netflix? No! How about going to the Palestra to root for your men’s basketball team?

After defeating Lehigh earlier in the week, the Quakers continued their winning streak with another victory against Brown, 2-0, in conference play.

All things must come to an end, and for Penn’s women’s soccer it is coming fast. With only two more conference games left, the Red and Blue will try to end the season on the high note in their Senior Night match against Brown.

With a two-game losing streak and only one Ivy win so far this season, Penn women’s soccer is looking back and seeing how they can improve.

Coming off of a 2-1 defeat against Columbia, Penn men’s soccer (5-5-0) will travel to New Jersey for a nonconference tilt against Rutgers (3-7-1) Tuesday in hopes of getting back on the winning track.

The Quakers (4-3-2) have a tough weekend ahead of them, facing a strong Ivy test against Columbia on Friday and a nonconference duel with Navy.
