Athletes are excited not only about competing on the field for the first time, but also experiencing the life of a student-athlete on campus.

The fall sports season is fully underway for Penn, and many teams will look to build on the momentum they established in the first few weeks of matches moving into the beginning of Ivy League play. Here is a look at what the soccer, volleyball, and field hockey teams are up against this weekend.

The women's soccer goalkeeper netted a season- and career-high six saves this weekend.

It was a rough one on offense for Penn men’s soccer Monday night against Rutgers University across the border in New Jersey.

Penn women's tennis team blew away the competition at the Columbia Invitational in Flushing, N.Y.  The competition featured a double-elimination bracketed tournament in both the singles and doubles draw. 

This weekend, the Quakers (3-3) invited two formidable foes to Ellen Vagelos Field in St. Joe's and Towson.

Patience was key for Penn men’s soccer as the Quakers proved a 5-1 result over St. Mary's at Rhodes Field; a redemption over the shared draw of Monday's game against Loyola Maryland.

After an early lead, a controversial goal, seven minutes of overtime, and over a dozen headers, Penn women’s soccer won its game against Rice, 2-1.  

Despite starting out each matchup with a set victory, Penn volleyball lost both of its games this weekend to bring their record to 3-6 on the season.

Thanks to a shutout from goalkeeper Laurence Gladu and a pair of goals from Sizzy Lawton and Lauren Teuschl, the Quakers came away with a win over Villanova. 

Penn women's soccer faces two tough opponents this weekend in Villanova and Rice University, as the Red and Blue hopes to build upon the team's most recent victory.

Coming off a tough loss at Lehigh on Tuesday, Penn volleyball will look to bounce back with two matches against in-city rivals Temple at 11 a.m. and Villanova at 3 p.m. on Saturday, at the Owls’ City Classic, held annually at Temple’s McGonigle Hall.

On the road against Lehigh, Penn volleyball lost in a hard fought match in four sets, dropping its overall record this season to 3-4. 

With Mia Shenk's hat trick, the Quakers cruised to a 4-0 victory against George Washington.

In field hockey's game against Drexel on Friday — the team’s first home game in nearly two years — sophomore goalkeeper Sabien Paumen rebounded from the team's early losses, notching a season and career-high eight saves and only allowing three goals. 

Penn men's soccer shares a result with Loyola Maryland. Although the Quakers led twice, they ultimately compromised for the draw.

Shortly after NIL legislation passed, Padilla partnered with Homecourt Edge Basketball, the trainer that she has worked with for the past decade. In collaboration with Padilla, HCE debuted the first piece in the HCExKP merch collection.
