Penn men's basketball beat St. Joseph’s 78-70 in a rare away game in the packed Palestra.  

Last week, Penn men's basketball snapped a four-game losing streak by beating Temple, 77-70, and clinch a share of the Quaker's first Big 5 title in 17 years. 

Former Penn men’s basketball point guard Darnell Foreman has signed with Uni Baskets Paderborn of the ProA League in Germany. And he's dominating so far.

It is going to be a busy weekend for Penn athletics with the track, squash, swimming, and gymnastics teams all in action.

With 14 points in the first half last weekend against Temple, junior forward Kuba Mijakowski sparked the Penn offense to a huge win and a share of the Big 5 title.

Following a 77-70 victory over Temple last weekend, Penn men’s basketball will take on St. Joseph’s at the Palestra on Saturday.

With the current reconstruction of the Ringe Courts this season, Penn squash has been practicing and playing home matches at Drexel’s Kline & Specter Squash Center.

Coach Gilly Lane, who is entering his third season at the helm after graduating from Penn in 2007, has transformed the Quakers into a national squash powerhouse since his arrival. 

After a tough home loss to Villanova, Penn looked to finish off its Big 5 schedule on a high note against Temple at the Palestra on Wednesday. The Red and Blue did just that, beating the Owls, 71-62, in a game in which they never trailed.

Davis only played four matches last year, as injuries prevented her from competing for much of the season. Yet while many other athletes might have quit when faced with this much time off, Davis is a trailblazer. 

The Quakers are fresh off of their first home loss of the season to rival Villanova, which upended the Red and Blue’s hopes for a second consecutive Big 5 title. 

The Red and Blue hosted the Penn 8-Team Select in Staten Island, N.Y. on Saturday, with the nine other teams in attendance being Monmouth, Providence, St. John’s, Stony Brook, Temple, Rutgers, St. Joseph’s, Fordham, and Wagner.

Although the team couldn't pick up the W on the court, Parker earned a win herself in the form of DP Sports Player of the Week.

The Red and Blue ultimately saw competition on Saturday and Sunday from eight different teams, including Haverford, Duke, Brown, Sacred Heart, NYU, and Yale.

Penn men’s basketball has notched yet another unlikely 'first': Big 5 champions, for the first time in seventeen years. 

The Bulldogs came out on top on Saturday, as they bested Penn, 193.775 to 192.350. But even though they weren’t able to oust Yale, the Quakers improved their point totals in three of the four events.

After dropping their first two Ivy League games against Princeton, Penn men’s basketball responded with a hard-fought win over Temple to clinch at least a share of the Big 5 title.
