GIC was established in 1984 to support the University's underrepresented communities and build intercultural awareness on campus.

Supernova is a one hour film that uses video footage and eyewitness accounts from survivors and first responders to recount the attack on Oct. 7 by Hamas militants 

Around 25 students and faculty members gathered Wednesday evening to hear Ben Haim’s firsthand account of how she survived the attack and her subsequent process of recovery.

Students were forced to shower in other locations, including the Pottruck Gymnasium, due to the hot water outage.

The program aims to support, uplift, and amplify Black students at Penn by providing an open space for fellowship and a nurturing environment.

Topics discussed included Penn’s open expression guidelines, disciplinary actions against students, and the University’s responses to antisemitism and Islamophobia.

Students and recent alumni can submit their idea for a screenplay or TV pilot, competing for the opportunity to pitch directly to influential producers within the entertainment industry.

The exhibition, which marks Thomas' debut in Philadelphia, will be on view from Feb. 17 to May 21, 2024. 

The publication operates as a literary outlet for Black students to share their thoughts and work.

College first year Akash Verma established the Startup Initiative Foundation this year to provide Penn students with the opportunity to engage with start-ups in Philadelphia.
