UA reform faces apathy

Students' apathy could be a challenge for the upcoming referendum that would establish direct elections for the Undergraduate Assembly’s top two positions, which requires at least 20 percent of the student body to care enough to vote.


After a number of on-campus dining options reduced their hours last semester, the Undergraduate Assembly responded to students’ concerns with discussion of new venues.

With 600 student signatures on a petition and a two-thirds vote from the Undergraduate Assembly, the proposed reform to the UA’s internal executive elections is now officially a referendum.

Two UA members resign

Sunday night, College sophomores Cornelius Range and Adam Hamilton resigned from their seats on the Undergraduate Assembly. College juniors Rico Moorer and Michael Chen will step up to replace them.
