The March 11 letter, titled ‘Not in Our Name,’ has been signed by nearly 3000 signatories — including 34 from Penn — at the time of publication.

The concert will take place at Penn Park at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, April 4 and will be followed by the Daytime Fling carnival on Saturday, April 5.

The March 21 demonstration criticized the University’s “complicity in Palestinian genocide, violations of free speech, and refusal to protect Penn’s non-citizen community from invasive I.C.E. raids.”

Penn has 21 active contracts and 596 active grants that receive funding through the two agencies — totaling hundreds of millions of dollars — according to U.S. Department of the Treasury fiscal year 2025 data. 

Dean of the Annenberg School for Communication Sarah Banet-Weiser notified the lecturers of the decision in an email sent on March 19.
