After a season of ups and downs, Penn men’s basketball finds itself preparing for the Ivy League Tournament once again.

On Tuesday night, Lafayette put up little fight against the No. 24 Quakers, as the Red and Blue easily won by a score of 19-3.

Over spring break, Penn football flew across the world to visit China. It was, in many ways, a once in a lifetime opportunity. 

Junior AJ Brodeur was named first-team All-Ivy for the second year in a row alongside fellow junior Devon Goodman, who was named second-team All-Ivy. 

The senior forward and two-year captain has played in 111 games over his four years with the Red and Blue, missing just eight contests during his time with the Quakers.

Penn basketball picked up two more Ivy League Player of the Week awards this weekend from Eleah Parker and AJ Brodeur.

Spring break was an exciting time for Penn Athletics. With impressive wins from many teams, the Quakers had a lot of success.

Penn softball faced 10 teams in seven days at the USF-Clearwater Parks and Recreation Invitational Tournament in Clearwater, Fla., while Penn baseball also took a tour down South for its spring break.

Junior forward AJ Brodeur and sophomore center Eleah Parker finished off their stellar regular seasons in a pair of weekend sets over spring break, earning the duo DP Sports Players of the Break. 

It took everything in the Quakers’ power to protect their perfect record, defeating hometown rival Drexel on Tuesday by a score of 12-10 and No. 21 Georgetown on Saturday, 8-7.

Penn earned its first victory of the year on the first day of the inaugural Philly 4 Lacrosse Classic against area rival No. 11 Villanova. 

After all the hand wringing, all the tight losses, and all the anxiety-ridden weekend nights, the Quakers are right where we expected them to be: playing in the Ivy League Tournament.

In a thrilling, back-and-forth affair, Penn men’s basketball defeated Brown, 58-51, to secure the fourth and final spot in the Ivy League tournament.

The men would lock up the fourth and final spot in the Ivy League Tournament with a win, and the women would clinch at least a share of the regular season Ivy League title with a victory.

If you happen to be within 50 miles of campus as spring break winds to a close, your butt needs to be in a seat. Scratch that — don’t sit. 

In a must-win situation, Penn men’s basketball jumped out to an early lead against Yale and never looked back, taking down the Bulldogs, 77-66.  

The final weekend of Ivy League regular season basketball is here, and with it brings a lot of excitement and drama.
