This weekend, members of Penn’s 1959 Ivy League champion football team gathered in the venue they once played in to celebrate the 60th anniversary of their historic season.

In this week's edition of Is Stat So?, sprint football grinds it out on the ground, a field hockey sophomore puts in another full shift, and both men's and women's soccer prevail in shoutout environments.

This weekend against Chestnut Hill, the Quakers got an all-time performance from sophomore running back Laquan McKever, who powered the team to its third straight victory.

Powered by a trio of goals, Penn men’s soccer defeated Cornell in their first Ivy League game of the year.

It was yet another day of all-around success for the Quakers as the men’s and women’s cross country teams took a short trip to Bethlehem, Pa. to compete in Lehigh's Paul Short Invitational.

Behind an impressive offensive line and a defense that made plays when it needed to, Penn sprint football came away with a 42-32 win against Chestnut Hill.

In their home and Ivy League opener, Penn football failed to muster much offense against Dartmouth before losing, 28-15. 

But unfortunately for the Quakers, those touchdowns were not distributed evenly, as Penn fell to Dartmouth, 28 to 15, in the Ivy League opener. 

Penn football will open its Ivy League season in a dramatic setting, taking on Dartmouth on Friday night at historic Franklin Field. 

If the offensive line gets the spotlight when the Quakers are able to run for a lot of yards, they certainly have the spotlight now. 

Best friends and former Penn sprint football teammates Tom Console and James Juliano now find themselves on opposite sides of a bitter rivalry game.

Freshmen Sean Banko and Michael Keehan, senior Andrew Hally, and his brother Pat Hally (Class of '17) all attended Salesianum School before donning the Red and Blue. 

After allowing an early goal, Penn men’s soccer couldn’t bounce back and suffered its second consecutive loss, falling to West Virginia, 3-0.

Riding a strong running game and a stifling defense, the Quakers dominated Post, 57-7, for their second straight win and their fourth straight win against the Eagles. 

Led by senior quarterback Nick Robinson, Penn football used a late surge to break away from Lafayette and claim a 28-24 victory.

With zero wins in a combined five games for both teams thus far, one side will come away with its first victory of 2019 after today.
