While in high school at Choate Rosemary Hall in New Haven, Conn., Sheridan helped organize annual squash clinics for inner-city children in order to promote squash in urban areas. Now, as a member of the varsity squad at Penn, he is a member of the Youth Leadership Committee for RhodySquash, another organization that promotes squash in urban areas.

As part of the package for men’s hoops student-section season ticket holders, a T-shirt designed by PANYC State — pronounced “panic” — is included. These shirts, currently available in white, read “Hurrah Pennsylvania 12-13” and feature a basketball-toting Ben Franklin.

Dougherty is averaging 20.4 points and 9.0 rebounds per game in the first five games of this season. He’s playing all the roles for a team that still has plenty of casting to do. From beyond the arc, he’s nailed four three-pointers.
