The women had a very successful weekend, sweeping both of their matches, while the men were unable to stop their Ivy League losing streak. 

The lightweights would be rowing at home against Columbia and Yale, while heavyweights faced  Columbia and Princeton.

When all was said and done, Penn took home 10 victories, and 10 of its performances secured spots in the top 10 all-time for their respective events.

With 717 shots, the team placed third among the 12 teams in the tournament that featured two rounds and 36 holes.

Penn hasn’t won an Ivy title since 1988, and the Quakers’ success this year hasn’t come without practice and perseverance.

In a matchup of two of the best teams in the Ivy League, it was a battle between Penn’s hot offense and Princeton’s dominant pitching. 

The Quakers were ultimately handed their third overall loss and first of Ivy play in a 15-11 defeat on senior day.

After tallying 49 runs in a sweep against Dartmouth last weekend, the Quakers didn’t generate much offense against Monmouth on Wednesday at Meiklejohn Stadium. 

The No. 6 Quakers have now won six games in a row and are the only undefeated team in the Ivy League as they prepare to face Harvard on Saturday. 

Penn women’s lacrosse will take on Dartmouth this Saturday in the second installment of a five-game Ivy League stretch.
