Big Penn Fencing Win Penn Junior Mike Mills just won the NCAA fencing championship in the saber division! It's too soon for an ESPN link, but the Wikipedia page is ON IT. Congrats, Mike!
Now that it's Spring (statistically speaking,) we must all lift the iron curtain of hibernation and leave our cozy Rosengarten carrels for the light of a SEPTA stop. Go off campus, baby!
Did you vote yet? Today's your last day. You can't complain about student government until you do, so get to it before 5 PM!
And the winner is…

Spotted in Williams, a passive aggressive response saying the tampons have been out of order "since the dawn of time." The feminist in us says that everyone has a bad day sometimes, but, realistically, she was probably on her period. No word on the status of Williams' tampons before the dawn of time. Maybe these guys know.
St. Paddy's has come and gone; your head is a pain-bundle, your one green shirt is ruined. Here's Monday, with its snow/sleet combo, to kick you in the shins. But fear not! There's lots of great Penn things this week, so turn those lemons into yellow Gatorade and get back in the game!
The weekend is here, and with temperatures still a lil' chillier than our brain-clocks would prefer, here are some mostly indoor ideas for your metropolitan weekend. Friday: Eastern State Penetentiary is free today. It's a historic/haunted prison, so take that chick from your history honors seminar. You can squeal and hold each other in the darkness. At The Rotunda tonight, there's a free concert by musicians that the New York Times calls "deft and boomy, ragged and precise.” What does that mean? Whatever! Free concert! Saturday: The American Swedish Historical Society is holding a Waffle Day Celebration. 10 dollars per person for all-you-can-eat waffles. Eat away your pain/stress/sadness thanks to The Swedes: truly a clutch cultural group since the 1600s. Sunday: Our friends over at Uwishunu have made such a good Philly St. Patrick's Day Guide that we are not worthy of attempting to replicate it! Check it out here. It's also Poetry Night at Seeds Gallery in West Philly, so shake off the drunkies and break out your snapping fingers for a good old-fashioned community open-mic.

Despite the wishes of TLC, SPEC is bringing Zach Braff to campus.
Maybe you're a serious photographer with a fancy camera snapping luscious, gritty candids on West Philly streets. Maybe your phone is filled with Instagrams of your breakfast, run through the Sutro filter and captioned #eggs.
And the winner is… “Prof. Martin never realized that what Geoffrey really lacked were opposable thumbs.” Congratulations to Ian, winner of our second cartoon caption contest. Look out for more contests in the coming weeks!
