Men's lacrosse drops to Yale in close OT contest

Penn men’s lacrosse has cemented itself in the Division I national top 10, but a near-perennial thorn in the side of the Quakers loomed large this Saturday in the form of Yale University. The Elis had taken eight of the last 10 matchups between the two Ivy League foes, and on Saturday afternoon, they continued on that trend, beating the Red and Blue in overtime, 12-11, with a game-winning goal by Yale (5-2, 2-1 Ivy) freshman midfielder Chris Lyons.



Penn football alumnus Justin Watson signs with Kansas City Chiefs

Former Penn football standout Justin Watson has signed with the Kansas City Chiefs, ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter reported today. Selected in the fifth round of the 2018 NFL Draft by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the wide receiver has accrued two touchdowns and 258 receiving yards on 23 receptions in his three-year career. He has also handled return duties for the Bucs, as well as racking up several tackles over the years on special teams coverage.


Penn swimming appears outmatched against strong Harvard squad

Coming off losses in Sheerr Pool against Ivy League rival Yale, and with only two meets remaining until the Ivy League Championships in February, Penn men’s and women’s swimming looked to right their respective ships in Cambridge, Mass. this weekend. A formidable opponent stood in the way, however, in the form of the one-loss Harvard men’s team and the undefeated Harvard women’s team.
