Vacant lots start bearing fruit

Over 160 vendors from all over the country lined the streets with arts, crafts, food and more at the Kennett Square Mushroom Festival on Sunday, September 9, 2007. A mushroom growing exhibit allowed spectators to see mushrooms in all stages of the growing process. Bravo TV's Top Chef winner, Ilan Hall, showed off his skills preparing a dish from sponge, portobello and shiitake mushrooms with help from Top Chef contestant Miguel Morales.
