The Division III phenom is stepping up to the big leagues.
Dorian Glogovac, a 6-foot-6 guard from Vancouver, B.C., announced his commitment to Penn on Friday. Glogovac joins the Quakers from Caltech, which competes in the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference at the NCAA Division III level.
“Coming from one of the best STEM institutions in the world, I knew I wanted to maintain that level of academic excellence wherever I went,” Glogovac wrote in a statement to The Daily Pennsylvanian. “On top of that, getting to compete for a program with the best fan base in Ivy League basketball, a long history, an amazing coaching staff, and play alongside guys who know what it takes to win and have made it to the tournament is something I don’t take lightly.”
Last season, Caltech finished dead last in its conference, posting four wins and 21 losses during the 2025-26 season. Even though the Beavers didn’t impress as a team, Glogovac dominated on the court. His 23.6 average points per game led the conference by over four points. It was the highest points per game average from a freshman and ranked No. 16 among all players in the division.
“I’m really grateful for my experience this year because being the leading freshman scorer in the nation forced me to learn how to play against a lot of different defensive coverages,” Glogovac wrote to the DP. “I feel like I’ve matured a lot as a player this past year and I’m excited to take it to the next level.”
Glogovac’s most impressive showing came in the penultimate game of the season, against conference foe La Verne. In just 40 minutes, Glogovac netted 41 points, resetting Caltech’s single-game scoring record in its sole conference victory of the season. He also reset the program’s single-season scoring record earlier in the season, and concluded his freshman campaign with 567 points across 24 games.
In comparison, the Quakers’ top scorer, rising senior forward TJ Power, finished the season with 492 points in 30 games.
Glogovac joins a Penn squad that defied expectations in the 2025-26 season. Although preseason polls projected that the Red and Blue would finish seventh in the conference, the Quakers secured a third-place finish in the Ivy League during the regular season. Back-to-back overtime upsets during Ivy Madness sent Penn men’s basketball to its first March Madness tournament since 2018.

The Quakers’ success this past season was largely due to acquisitions from the transfer portal, among them 2026 College graduate Ethan Roberts, who committed to Notre Dame for his final season of eligibility, and Power.
“It feels great knowing the program has had success with transfers in the past,” Glogovac wrote to the DP. “Being able to talk to those guys and learn what helped them make an immediate impact is going to be really important for me during my transition.”
“My main goal is winning, and I want to do whatever it takes to help us run it back, starting with an Ivy Championship and then getting some March Madness games under our belt,” Glogovac added.
The Canadian isn’t the only notable pickup from the portal during the off-season — 6-foot-6 guard Sir Mohammed, who previously played for Notre Dame, committed to Penn earlier this month.
