On May 31 and June 1, some of the track world’s top athletes, including Olympic gold medalists and world champions, gathered on Franklin Field for two days of races in the third leg of the inaugural Grand Slam Track competition. The brainchild of track legend Michael Johnson, the meet saw 11 Franklin Field records broken, with each of the twelve winners taking home a $100,000 prize. From global stars like Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone to Penn’s own Bella Whitaker, Grand Slam Track Philadelphia delivered a high-energy showcase of speed, strength, and spectacle. This is Grand Slam Track, in photos.
