The women’s soccer team had a successful weekend. With a 2-0 win over Cornell, the Red and Blue extended its spotless home record to 6-0 due to major contributions from junior defender Emily Pringle.

Prior to the game, Pringle had yet to make a goal as a collegian, and put forward a tremendous solo effort. Pringle broke the Big Red defense down the left flank to score for the Quakers in the 12th minute and secured a 1-0 lead. She also continued to apply pressure and made a shot out right in the 30th minute.

This was also Quaker coach Casey Brown’s first Ivy League victory, making the win that much sweeter.

Pringle will be back in action with the Red and Blue at Columbia on Saturday for a 3 p.m. kickoff.
