They might not be in the Big Dance, but they're not done yet.

Penn women's basketball saw its season extended after the National Invitational Tournament selection committee announced that the Quakers will take on Albany in the first round.

Penn will face the Great Danes at home on Friday. The time of the game will be announced on Tuesday.

Penn (21-8, 11-3 Ivy) was guaranteed a bid by virtue of being the team with the highest record in the Ivy League that didn't qualify for the NCAA Tournament. This is the sixth consecutive postseason appearance for the Quakers, with the last two coming in the NCAA Tournament.

Albany (24-7, 12-4 American East) finished second in the American East Conference standings, but fell in the semifinals of the conference tournament against Hartford.
