Considering living off-campus? According to Zumper’s fall report, University City is now the most expensive place to rent in Philadelphia.

The median monthly rent for a one-bedroom unit in University City this fall was $1,900, just higher than the $1,800 for the same unit in Center City West. Alternatively, if you move across the Delaware River and rent a one-bedroom in Camden, N.J., it costs under $700 a month.

Overall, Philadelphia has risen one spot to become the 15th most expensive city in the nation, just behind Providence, R.I. San Francisco remains as the number one steepest rental market, according to Zumper's report.
