Winner: Penn Cross Country

From men’s cross country winning the all-Ivy League Heptagonal Cross Country Championships for the first time in 43 years to women’s cross country placing third at the Mid-Atlantic Regional Meet, Penn Cross Country is seeing a successful season. For the first time ever, women’s cross country qualified for an at-large bid to the NCAA Championships, making this a truly historical season for Penn cross country.

Winner: Fossil Free Penn

Sources said that Fossil-Free Penn successfully gained a meeting with the administration after sitting for seven hours outside of Amy Gutmann’s office, demanding an open dialogue about fossil fuel divestment. 

Winner: Queer Student Alliance

With a new board and outings committee, Penn’s Queer Student Alliance is experiencing a rejuvenation. This year’s QSA is focusing on community outreach, expanding their focus to the entire Philadelphia queer community, and holding more events for LGBTQ students.
