Oct. 15, 2013 — A juvenile was arrested in connection with a retail theft.

Oct. 16, 2013 — An unaffiliated 50-year-old female was arrested in connection with a theft

Sex Offense:

Oct. 12, 2013 — A confidential sex offense was reported.

DUI:

Oct. 13, 2013 — An unaffiliated 24-year-old male was arrested on the 100 block of S. 39th Street at 6:36 p.m. after he crashed his car into a parked vehicle. The man had a strong odor of alcohol, and his speech was slurred.

Oct. 13, 2013 — An unaffiliated 40-year-old male was arrested at the intersection of 38th and Chestnut streets at 1:39 a.m. after he was involved in a car accident. The man fled the scene and was stopped by police, after which he failed a sobriety test. The man also smelled of alcohol, had bloodshot eyes and slurred his speech.

Assault:

Oct. 14, 2013 — An unaffiliated 41-year-old male was arrested on the 4000 block of Chestnut Street at 5:16 p.m. after he approached an unaffiliated 22-year-old female, yelling at her and saying he was going to kill her. The female also reported that he pulled a knife from his pocket and waved it in a slashing manner in front of her.

Robbery:

Oct. 15, 2013 — An unaffiliated 26-year-old male was reported that he was robbed at gunpoint on the unit block of S. 41st Street at 2:15 p.m. The male was approached by two suspects — the first asked him for a cigarette, and the second showed a pistol and took the complainant’s wallet. A UPennAlert was sent out at 2:35 p.m. in response to the incident.

Other Offenses:

Oct. 17, 2013 — An unaffiliated 33-year-old male was cited for defiant trespass at the Penn Bookstore at 12:10 p.m. when he entered property without permission after being warned not to enter said property.

Oct. 17, 2013 — An unaffiliated 24-year-old male was arrested on the 4000 block of Spruce Street at 3:30 a.m. after a 20-year-old affiliated female reported that she heard someone on her fire escape. The female found the offender to be on her porch, trying to open her door. Police apprehended the suspect.
