Disorderly conduct:
Aug. 28: Six males, two affiliated and four unaffiliated, were arrested at 2:00 a.m. on the 4200 block of Spruce Street for damaging property, including vehicles in the street.
Fire incident:
Aug. 27: At 1:45 p.m. a resident of Harrison College House at 3910 Irving St. reported flames emitting from a malfunctioning exhaust fan. Department of Fire and Emergency Services Personnel and the Philadelphia Fire Department responded and extinguished the fire.
Assault:
Aug. 26: An affiliated 19-year-old male was walking with his friends when he was struck in the head by a bottle at 4036 Spruce St. at 12:00 a.m. He refused treatment, reporting that it was a misunderstanding between friends.
Defiant trespass:
Aug. 26: An unaffiliated 59-year-old male was found sleeping on the private property of Vagelos Research Laboratories at 3340 Smith Walk. at 6:15 p.m. after being warned not to loiter.
Retail theft:
Aug. 24: An unaffiliated female reported that the electronic surveillance sensor was activated at the Urban Outfitters at 110 36th St. at 7:00 p.m. when an unknown male and female exited the store. Merchandise was confirmed missing.
DUI:
Aug. 23: An affiliated 51-year-old male vehicle operator was stopped on the 4200 block of Spruce Street at 9:15 p.m. He had slurred speech and difficulty standing, and he smelled of alcohol.
Burglary:
Aug. 25: A 21-year-old affiliated female reported an unknown person entering her unsecured home at 3951 Baltimore Ave. at 3:45 a.m. The person entered her room while she was sleeping, and when she told him to leave he fled. Police captured the suspect, a 58-year-old unaffiliated male, and placed him under arrest.
Aug. 22: An 18-year-old affiliated male reported being woken up while sleeping on the sofa in an unsecured house by the movement of someone unplugging his iPhone from the wall at 204 S. 42nd St. at 3:30 a.m. The suspect, a 20-year-old unaffiliated male, ran out of the house. The police tracked the suspect to a nearby home, recovered the stolen items and placed him under arrest.
Aug. 22: The unaffiliated 20-year-old male suspect from the robbery listed directly above entered an unsecured residence at 208 S. 42nd St. at 3:45 a.m. attempting to evade police. The residents confirmed that the suspect did not live there, and the suspect was arrested.
