A major responsibility for UA members is to work closely with PennApps Labs to improve websites and online resources offered to the student body. As a student from the School of Engineering, I have noticed multiple flaws with Penn in Touch, especially when it comes to course selection. For one, it remains impossible to use the academic planning worksheets to plan out a second major in a different school, such as with the School of Arts and Sciences. Additionally, there is no way for engineers to search for courses based on a requirement. For example, there is no way to search for all courses that fulfill the Tech Elective requirement. If elected to UA membership, I hope to work towards resolving these issues, making Penn in Touch a more friendly and reliable resource for engineers and for the Penn student body as a whole.
