As a member of PennGreen and Penn Eco-reps, I am committed to sustainability here on Penn’s campus. In Eco-reps, the spring project for this year is to install recycling bins for Brita filters, batteries, and ink cartridges in the trash room located at the upper quad gate. The student body at Penn consumes a multitude of these items. Unfortunately, most of these items are thrown away because there’s no designated disposal container for them. In addition, I hope to raise the limit on guest meal swipes, so students are not restricted to 10 a semester. If elected to the UA, I plan to install additional recycling units in all of the college house trash rooms, increase the number of guest meal swipes given to each student, and promise to meet in a one-on-one setting with the members of any organization on campus wanting to meet with the UA.
