A Penn student was robbed at knife-point around 10:40 p.m. on Sunday, Mar. 8 at 42nd and Spruce streets, according to the Division of Public Safety.
A knife was recovered at the scene, but there were no injuries reported, DPS spokesperson Stef Karp said. Penn and Philadelphia police have blocked the area off for investigation.
A UPennAlert went out at 11:02 p.m. reporting increased police activity and warned the community to avoid the area.
Another alert was issued at 11:45 p.m. informing the community that the area was all clear.
DPS could not comment further on the case as it is still undergoing active investigation.
