The preliminary arraignment for Saad Masood, 30, a former School of Engineering and Applied Sciences student who was arrested on Jan. 20, was again postponed, this time to Feb. 15.

The arraignment was first set for Jan. 26, and then postponed to Tuesday, Feb. 1, so the court could conduct a mental health evaluation, which took place on Monday.

Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office spokeswoman Tasha Jamerson and a representative from the courtroom were unwilling to disclose any additional information regarding the mental evaluation or the criminal case.

Masood is currently being held in county prison on a bail of $2,500. He faces charges of terroristic threats, stalking, harassment and disorderly conduct.

According to a past University Police Department alert, Masood “continues to contact professors, via phone, e-mail, and in person despite having been told by Special Services and [the Vice Provost for University Life] not to return to Penn.”

Update, Feb. 15: Masood's court date was postponed once again to Feb. 21.
