Jeremy Lin is at it again.

Time and time again he seems to come through when Harvard needs him most, and this weekend was no exception.

The Crimson were looking to beat Boston University Saturday for the first time in eight years and the first time in Case Gym since 1975 (though they’ve only played 10 games in Boston since then).

The Terriers overcame a two-point halftime deficit by going 9-for-13 in the first seven minutes after the break. With a 54-45 lead after a 20-9 run and 13:20 remaining, they seemed to be in control and ready to roll to another victory over Harvard.

They cooled off and let the Crimson back in the game, as their lead was cut to one five times. BU bounced back each time, until Lin lit them up with a corner three-pointer to regain the lead, 65-64, for Harvard with 4:30 left to play.

The Crimson never trailed again, as Lin continued to score the next eight points en route to a 16-point second half. He finished with 19 for the game to go with four assists, steals and rebounds and two blocks.

Agho-in crazy. One member of the Lions is roaring much louder than the rest.

Columbia sophomore guard Noruwa Agho scored 20 or more points in three straight games. With an average of 20.5 points, he moved ahead of Yale’s Alex Zampier as the league’s leading scorer.

He started his streak Nov. 20 against Longwood with 24 points in Columbia’s home opener.

He continued it last Tuesday against Bucknell with a 23-point outing, sparked by a 17-point second half that helped the Lions go on a 30-8 run to close out the game.

Then Friday against Big East powerhouse Syracuse, Agho torched Jim Boeheim’s vaunted 2-3 zone defense that is very susceptible to the long ball. With four straight buckets to start the game, including three consecutive trifectas, Agho kept the Lions within one at the 11-minute mark. He stayed hot throughout the game, finishing with 22 points on 8-of-14 shooting and a 4-for-7 clip from beyond the arc. But Columbia still lost by 25 to the Orangemen.

Agho earned Ivy League Player of the Week honors for his strong outings, and finished the week as the nation’s second-best shooter from three-point land with a 72 percent mark. However, both his scoring average and three-point shooting mark dipped last night after a 16-point, 3-for-6 three-point effort in a loss to Sacred Heart.

Being green at Brown. Another Brown freshman won Rookie of the Week. Forward Andrew McCarthy took home the hardware last week after scoring 29 points, grabbing 15 rebounds and swatting five blocks in three games.

This week’s winner, Matt Sullivan, has started every game for the Bears and scored 31 points in their last three games. He also dished a season-high seven assists in one game.
