Running for Auditor General of Pennsylvania are incumbent Democrat Jack Wagner, Republican Chet Beiler and Libertarian Betsy Summers.
Wagner has been Pennsylvania's Auditor General for the past three years and has a combined total of 30 years of political experience.
If re-elected, Wagner said that he promises to keep true to his campaign mission statement of "improving the performance of government so that it improves the quality of life for all Pennsylvanians."
He plans to continue being the "watchdog" of the people's tax dollars.
Beiler on the other hand is not a career politician, but rather a businessman who plans to apply his strategies to the Pennsylvania government.
With these business strategies he says he aims to clean up the toxic culture corruption in Harrisburg and restore trust in the government.
He has said he also intends to reduce auditor spending and stop government officials from "throwing around our hard earned money," he said.
Summers has 25 years of business experience coupled with two terms of serving as her district's Judge of Elections.
If elected, she expects to bring a clear voice to Pennsylvania and prevent fraud, mismanagement and waste of taxpayer dollars by creating a better business environment.
She says some of her key plans include ensuring that all companies' spending is frequently accounted for and calling for a redistribution of wealth in Pennsylvania.
