Theft

n Jan. 11 -- A female University employee reported that at approximately 9:28 a.m. her Motorola cell phone, valued at $100, was taken from room 528 of Van Pelt Library, located at 3420 Walnut St. The employee reported that the cell phone was temporarily left unlocked and unsecured in the room.

n Jan. 11 -- A female student reported that at approximately 2:12 a.m. two credit cards, $60 and assorted IDs were stolen from her purse at the Blarney Stone, located at 3925 Sansom St. The student left her purse unattended on a stool at the rear of the bar.

n Jan. 10 -- A male student reported that at approximately 4:10 p.m. his laptop was stolen from Van Pelt library. Police said they are investigating several leads on the crime.

n Jan. 10 -- A female affiliated staff member reported that between 7:40 a.m. and 8:15 a.m. an unknown persons entered suite 135 of the Science Center, located at 3508 Market St., and removed several credit cards and assorted IDs from her unlocked, unsecured desk. The stolen goods are valued at $45.

n Jan. 7 -- An unaffiliated male reported that at approximately 9 a.m. his Dell laptop, valued at $2,000, was removed from an office at the Steinberg Conference Center, located at 255 S. 38th St.

Driving Under Influence

n Jan. 8 -- Police reported seeing a male unaffiliated with the University stagger to his car at 38th and Walnut Streets at approximately 2:15 a.m. and begin to drive the vehicle. Police detained the male and arrested him after he tested a .186 blood alcohol level.

n Jan. 7 -- Police pulled over a vehicle at approximately 3:15 a.m. at 39th and Spruce Streets for disregard of a stop sign. Police then arrested the female driver unaffiliated with the University for driving under the influence.

Fraud

n Jan. 11 -- A male student reported leaving his credit card in an ATM machine at approximately 2:55 p.m. at 220 S. 40th St.

n Jan. 7 -- Police arrested Allen Ho, 60, unaffiliated with the University for selling bootleg DVDs and CDs out of the trunk of his car at approximately 9 a.m. at 4000 Irving Street. Police confiscated 650 CDS, and contacted the Recording Industry Association of America.
