Schlossberg named to Junior National team
Sophomore goalie Elizabeth Schlossberg has been at the top of her game, leading the Quakers to wins in seven of their last eight games.
The U.S. Under-21 Junior National Field Hockey team agrees. The Chevy Chase, Md., native was named to the squad yesterday, and will travel to South America for the Pan American Championships this winter.
Schlossberg will join 15 of her peers from across the country to take on Canada, Chile and Argentina.
"Penn over the years have had many good goalkeepers, but Elizabeth so far has been the best," Penn coach Val Cloud said in a press release.

ECAC offensive honors for QB McDermott
Penn quarterback Pat McDermott put on a show last weekend in Lewisburg, Pa.
The Yonkers, N.Y., native lit up Bucknell for 384 passing yards on 55 attempts as the Quakers prevailed in double overtime.
Officials at the Eastern College Athletic Association took notice, awarding the junior signal caller with Offensive Player of the Week honors.
McDermott's career-high yardage was good for fifth place on Penn's all-time passing list.
