Penn's top business chief Clifford Stanley announced today that he will be leaving the University on October 10.
Citing "personal reasons" in the brief statement announcing his resignation, the executive vice president was approaching the end of his first year in office.
The former Marine Corps Major General replaced John Fry, now president of Franklin and Marshall College, and was responsible for overseeing Penn's team of vice presidents and administrative officers for finance, retail and real estate and community relations.
According to University President Judith Rodin, those officers will now report directly to her.
Rodin added that the University has no plans to initiate a search for Stanley's replacement at this time.
