Five Quakers will be returning to Drew University on March 21 for the NCAA men's fencing championships.

The committee at the Mid-Atlantic/South Regional nominated Penn sophomore foilists Andy Radu and Jeff Breen, senior epees Jim Benson and Scott Eriksen and senior sabre Dan Vincent for nationals. All five were formally approved on Friday.

Breen and Radu - two-thirds of the lauded foil squad - finished second and third at regionals. Stephen Gavalas, fourth on the foil depth chart, placed tenth.

In the epee, Benson and Eriksen were followed by juniors Dan Borden and Javier Garcia-Albea, who finished tenth and 19th.

The much-maligned sabre squad got a boost by senior Dan Vincent, who finished fifth, and sophomore Chris Lvoff, who notched 19th.
