Campus Crime Report

Aggravated Assault € A man unaffiliated with the University reported that he had an altercation with another man on the 3400 block of Civic Center Boulevard at 5:23 a.m. During the altercation, the reporting man was stabbed in the chest. He drove himself to Veterans Hospital, where he was treated and questioned about his attacker. Penn Police later arrested 51-year-old Victor Velasquez of Harrisburg, Pa., in connection with the attack.

Robbery € October 3 -- Two men unaffiliated with the University reported that two men, one of whom was armed with a gun, approached them on the unit block of South 43rd Street at 1:11 a.m. and demanded their money. The robbers got away with $48 in cash and some personal papers. The man with the gun was described as a black male between 20- and 25-years-old, 6'3" tall and 200 pounds, with a dark complexion. His partner was described as a black male, about 5'11" and 160 pounds, with a dark complexion and a small mustache.

€ October 2 -- Two women unaffiliated with the University reported that they were approached from behind by a man on the 400 block of South 42nd Street at 9:32 p.m. The man had what appeared to be a gun under his shirt, and he demanded money. He took $15 in cash and some credit card receipts. The two women described the robber as a six-foot tall, 200-pound black man in his twenties.

Theft € October 3 -- A male University student reported that his cellular phone and $40 in cash were taken from his room from the Kappa Sigma house at 3706 Locust Walk at about 2 a.m.
