CAMPUS CRIME REPORT

Robbery € September 11 -- A male employee of Spruce Street Records & Tapes at 4004 Spruce Street reported that a man entered the store and removed $60 in cash from the counter at about 2:45 p.m. When the employee chased the man, the man pulled out what appeared to be a gun. The man was described as a 30-year-old black man with thin, balding hair and a spotty beard. He is about 6'2" with a thin build and a dark complexion and was wearing blue jeans and a green and black striped shirt at the time of the incident.

Burglary € September 12 -- A male University employee reported that $80 in cash was taken from his office in the Caster Building at 3715 Locust Walk between Monday night at 6:30 p.m. and 8:55 a.m. the next day. There was no sign of forced entry into the building itself, but the office door had been pried open. Several other employees also reported that items were taken from their offices, but police have not yet compiled a list of the missing items.

Theft € September 12 -- Police arrested 21-year-old Lac Van Nguyen after security cameras showed him removing a water bottle from a bicycle on the 4000 block of Sansom Street in the early morning hours.

€ September 11 -- A male University student reported that his mountain bike was taken from a bike rack in front of Mayer Hall at 3817 Spruce Street between September 7 and September 11. The value of the bike was about $300.

€ September 11 -- A female University student reported that an ATM card, a Social Security card, $10 in cash and about $10 in subway tokens were taken from her purse when she left it unattended in the Franklin Building at 3451 Walnut Street at about 2 p.m.

€ September 11 -- A female student reported that $540 in cash was taken from her apartment in Sansom Place West at 3600 Chestnut Street between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. The room was secured at the time of the theft and there was no sign of forced entry.
