There was singing and dancing in the Quad, as well as funnel cake and fruit smoothies. Pennsylvania Six-5000 and Mask and Wig showed off in front of thousands of yelling fans. And Hawaiian leis hung around the necks of all the revelers. When the sun went down on Friday, the lights went up on the first Hill Field concert in years. While the Roots and Ben Folds Five energetically performed, students cheered beneath a sky hung with twinkling stars. And although Saturday dawned gray and cloudy, the celebration continued undiminished with students packing the Quad during the day and Hamilton Village's carnival at night for their final hurrah of Spring Fling 2000.
