The investigation will deal with the events of last Thursday night and Friday morning, when a freshman girl was rushed to the hospital for alcohol poisoning after consuming more than 10 drinks at an AEPi fraternity party. The 17-year-old student was attending a "hotel" party at the fraternity, at which each room served a different mixed drink. The girl said she drank about 10 mixed drinks and at least two shots of tequila. "We will complete an investigation and report to [the Office of Fraternity and Sorority Affairs] if we find violations of a collective nature," Goldfarb said. The investigation is moving as quickly as possible, she said. OFSA and the InterFraternity Council will then evaluate the results. Punishment could range from social probation to suspension. Tom Carroll, the assistant director of OFSA, declined to comment on the specifics of the case. But he said that AEPi's national organization has been notified and they will wait to see the outcome of the investigation. AEPi chapter President Dan Tehrani, a Wharton junior, refused to comment on the investigation, instead referring all questions to the national fraternity, which could not be reached for comment yesterday. -- Catherine Lucey
