To the Editor: New York is also fun. You can't say that you didn't have fun. Even though I can understand why Brenner didn't have fun, I don't know why he would decide to go to a place that charged $50 anyway when there were places charging just $25 to get in and those clubs were good. But besides that, there is a lot to do in New York, the museums, the shopping?and by the way, I would much rather shop in New York. Things in Philadelphia are a bit on the pricy side also. However, if I was living in New Jersey, I would not go to New York to buy anything -- New Jersey has a lower sales tax. Also, I would like to know what train Brenner was on that he saw people smoking. Must have been the Long Island Rail Road, because on the regular subway trains people aren't allowed to smoke. I don't know what the policy is like for the LIRR. Maybe I am just used to seeing this, or maybe you are just not accustomed to being around something so different from your normal way of life, but New York isn't that bad. Personally?I love New York!!!! Sylvia Cardounell College '00 MBAs' beer of choice To the Editor: I am writing in response to Amar Kosaraju's article "The University of 'Wharton," (DP, 1/30/97). I must take strong issue with the charges made by Mr. Kosaraju regarding the Wharton School. I am very disappointed that the DP would choose to publish a column attempting to push such unsubstantiated and slanderous tripe upon the Penn student body. Please allow me to set the record straight here and now. Although we consistently provide a fine selection of imported beers and domestic microbrews, the Wharton MBA Pub has NEVER in recent memory served Coors Light.
