Man robbed at 44th and Walnut streets Peterson said the victim had just cashed a check at the Thriftway supermarket at 43rd and Walnut streets and was walking west to 44th Street. The perpetrators robbed the victim at gunpoint before fleeing north on 44th Street. The victim, who is not affiliated with the University, was not injured in the incident. Police described both suspects --who are still at large -- as six-foot-tall African American men between 20- and 25-years-old and weighing approximately 180 pounds each. One was wearing a gray, waist-length jacket, dark pants and a multicolored ski cap, while the other was wearing a red ski cap and brown jacket. -- Scott Lanman Police make arrest for Steinberg-Dietrich theft University Police arrested a man yesterday for the December 26 burglary of $300 worth of electronic equipment from Steinberg-Dietrich Hall, Detective John Peterson said. At approximately 2:30 p.m., University Police officers Howard Anderson, Mark Johnson and Cornell Thomas stopped Randy Murphy for investigation next to the Lott Tennis Courts. When Anderson noticed that there was an outstanding warrant for Murphy's arrest, the officers arrested and transported him to the Philadelphia Police Department's 18th District headquarters at 55th and Pine streets, where he was waiting to be arraigned as of yesterday afternoon. Peterson said Murphy was also under investigation for several Franklin Field thefts, and will be charged with burglary, criminal trespassing, theft and receiving stolen property. -- Scott Lanman
