· The DP takes a risk trusting all of its payables to anyone hailing from the same city that gives us Leon Lett and Michael Irvin, but Finance Manager Brad Bernstein has more than proven he is up to the task. Celebrating his election to this year's board with the purchase of new cowboy boots -- which make him feel "more like a Texan" -- other workers wonder where he ever found room in the budget to pay for them. · If his nervous anticipation of this article is any indication, newly elected Classified Sales Manager Russ Bloomfield has quite a few skeletons in his closet. Although the Dix Hills, N.Y.-native's thick accent has kept us from determining what these skeletons are, we will eventually break through that "Long Island twang." As the first manager of the DP's newest department, Bloomfield will have a great opportunity to put his outstanding ideas and sales tactics to work. · A junior from Los Angeles, Calif., majoring in Strategic Management, Production Manager Eleanor Hong is in charge of a department that designs and creates all of the ads that go into the paper. Claiming she is often mistaken for Mr. Burns from The Simpsons, she is described by some as having "a phobia of wearing something clean and neat." · Shouldn't a Biology major be interning at HUP or working in a medical lab somewhere? Not Sales Manager Emily Lebowitz. This sophomore from Pittsburgh, Pa., has spent the past two years of her life selling ads for the DP. One anonymous co-worker reports that Emily seems to have a "thing" for people in powerful positions. One thing is for sure: her enthusiastic work ethic and impeccable performance will pay off big for the DP again this year. · Responsible for analyzing the needs and wants of DP readers, Marketing Manager Dina Lifshin's studies in pursuit of degrees in marketing and statistics will no doubt benefit the entire organization. Known as "Dinka" by her loved ones, this sophomore from Stamford, Conn., came to America from her native Russia at a young age. · The self-proclaimed "Reservoir of Useless DP Knowledge," Associate Business Manager Joanna Newman is now putting her DP trivia to use while strategic planning for the paper. The junior Finance and Marketing major from Denver, Colo., will be responsible for spearheading revenue-producing projects. Her presence will be missed from the Sales Department, as will the alcohol-induced scandals that plagued her tenure. · Omigod!!! It has been rumored that Credit Manager Gail Wygoda only joined the DP to get an early look at the answers to the morning's crossword puzzle. But this sophomore Economics major from Westchester, N.Y., has proven her abilities to give the Business Department confidence that the paper's money is in good hands. Still, Gail is reputed to have "a thing" for Cuban cab drivers, short sports editors and Bob. But Gail, do you truly think they'll believe that you're 27 years old? -- Tagar Olson
