Twelve jurors and one alternate juror were selected last week in the case of the two defendants accused of murdering fifth-year Mathematics graduate student Al-Moez Alimohamed, according to Mathematics Graduate Chairperson Wolfgang Ziller. Selection will continue this morning in Common Pleas Judge James Fitzgerald's courtroom for three more alternate jurors, which will bring the total up to 12 jurors and four alternates, Ziller said. The jury of 12 consists of four black females, four white females, three black males and one white male, Ziller added. The prosecution will be headed by Assistant District Attorney Roger King. Ziller added that the jury will be sequestered until the actual trial begins, which will most likely be tomorrow morning. There will be a bus leaving the David Rittenhouse Laboratory at 9 a.m. each day for students who are interested in attending the jury trial. -- Jenny Axt
