The ceremony begins promptly at 10:15 a.m. and will feature speeches by Rodin and Jane Alexander, chairperson of the National Endowment for the Arts. Honorary degrees will also be conferred at that time. Beginning at 9:15 a.m., there will be a procession from Superblock to Franklin Field for all graduating seniors. Graduating students are asked to assemble in Superblock by 8:45 a.m. Individual schools will also hold celebrations Monday for graduates. Alice Rivlin, director of the U.S. Office of Management and Budget, will speak at the Annenberg School for Communication graduation ceremony to be held at 2 p.m. in the Annenberg School building. Mayor Ed Rendell and Channel 10 anchorperson RenZe Chenault will speak at a reception for Wharton evening students Saturday at 11:15 a.m. at the Doubletree Hotel at Broad and Locust streets. And Alan Hassenfeld, chairman and CEO of Hasbro, Inc. will speak at the College of Arts and Sciences graduation to be held at 7 p.m. in the Philadelphia Civic Center. All graduates, except for those in the College, will receive their diplomas at their schools' ceremonies. College seniors will receive their diplomas in the mail over the summer. Also this weekend, senior awards will be given out at Ivy Day, which will be held Saturday at 4 p.m. in Irvine Auditorium. U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Dan Glickman will deliver the keynote address to students. Seniors will then unveil their Ivy Stone, which will be placed in Locust Walk, near Van Pelt Library. -- Charles Ornstein Restaurants fight against AIDS ActionAIDS and the AIDS Information Network will join the local Philadelphia restaurant community in the fight against AIDS this weekend. On Sunday, 30 restaurants have agreed to donate one-third of their Sunday brunch food bills to sponsoring AIDS organizations -- as part of the "Dining Out for Life Brunch." "Dining Out for Life continues to bring together people who can help with such a huge problem as HIV/AIDS by doing something as simple as eating out," according to Ray Devlin, a chef at participating Rodz Restaurant. -- Kara Blond
