According to Drexel coach Sue Groff, Penn had dropped the Dragons from its schedule. Drexel then proceeded to set up a game against Bucknell for yesterday. Penn coach Anne Sage said she did not know the Quakers had cancelled the Drexel game. Penn has two games remaining on its schedule. The Quakers are at Lafayette tomorrow, then host Rutgers in the season finale April 26. Penn's record stands at 3-7. Last weekend the Quakers completed the 1995 Ivy League campaign with an 8-5 win at Brown, their only Ivy win of the season. · Penn baseball pitcher was named ECAC Player of the Week. He led Penn to a 4-2 record last week with a .682 average, three doubles, one triple, one home run, 10 RBI and eight runs scored. Shannon, who has started in all 31 games this season, ranks second in the Ivy League in batting (.440), RBI (41), triples (4) and hits (48). He is also third in home runs (4). Shannon's exploits were not limited to the plate. He recorded his third win of the season on the mound in Penn's 12-4 win at Cornell Sunday. The victory completed the Quakers' four-game sweep of the Big Red. Named the Ivy League Pitcher of the Week earlier this spring after shutting out Dartmouth, Shannon is 3-2 with a 4.25 era in six starts for the Quakers.
