IN BRIEF: Police District receives donation

The money will be used to help pay for renovations on a one-time crack house turned into a "safe house." The house, located at 53rd and Locust streets, was seized by city officials and now serves as a community service center. Last year, Wharton graduate students helped renovate the building as part of a"Christmas in April" program. -- Keith Huebsch Bodybuilding contest to be held Over 50 male and female undergraduate students will take it off, slather up and flex tomorrow for the University's second annual bodybuilding contest. Although the 10 female competitors will vie for a single title, the 40 male contestants will compete to be named either lightweight, middleweight or heavyweight champion. After last year's sell-out crowd, the tournament's director, Assistant Track Coach Tony Tenisci decided to hold the event in Irvine Auditorium because it can accommodate more people. "The competitors put on an entertaining show and are very professional in their presentations," Tenisci said. " The tournament will begin at 7 p.m. and all proceeds from the five-dollar admission charge will be donated to the University's women's track program. -- Melissa Wagenberg
