Two men robbed a student Tuesday night in the 4000 block of Pine Street, University Police said last night. University Police Sergeant Larry Salotti said the two men took a wallet, $20 in cash and a PENNcard from the student in the strong arm robbery which occurred at around 9:30 p.m. Tuesday. Salotti said the two males -- one who is 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighing 170 pounds and was wearing a dark jacket and the other who is 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighing 145 pounds and also was wearing a dark jacket -- have not been apprehended by police. In an unrelated incident, two juveniles robbed another juvenile Tuesday evening at the corner of 40th and Locust streets, Salotti said. The two youths, ages 12 and 13, pushed and threatened the 11-year-old youth with a stick and took his bike, Salotti said. The two then fled west on Locust Street and were apprehended by police at 42nd and Ludlow streets, Salotti said. He added that the 11 year-old positively identified the robbers. The 11 year-old's property was recovered and the juveniles were taken to the southwest detective division of the Philadelphia Police Department where they were charged with robbery. In another unrelated incident, a kiosk was set on fire early yesterday morning in the lower Quadrangle, Salotti said. University Police notified the Philadelphia Fire Department at around 1:45 a.m. about the kiosk -- which is located near Community House -- and the fire was extinguished, Salotti said. He added that Physical Plant was notified of the fire.
