Salotti did not say what triggered the incident, which occurred inside the Wawa store located at the corner of 36th and Chestnut streets. The student sustained minor injuries from the dispute but refused hospital treatment. The police classified the incident as a simple assault. In an unrelated incident, University Police stopped three male juveniles from ransacking a vacant property located in the 4100 block of Baltimore Street. Salotti said that University police officers apprehended the three juveniles at 11:42 a.m. yesterday, then turned them over to the Philadelphia Police. The three boys ranged from 13 to 17 years of age. In another unrelated incident, University Police thwarted the theft of a telephone from the second floor of Levy Dental School at 3:37 p.m. on Tuesday. The thief, who posed as someone in a communications profession, dropped the phone, then fled the scene. The man was later stopped and identified by University Police. Salotti said the police put out an advised warrant for his arrest. In another unrelated incident, the University received complaints of an aggressive panhandler at 4:52 p.m. on Tuesday afternoon.
