These students just sold the company they conceived at PennApps

While most Penn students are worrying about midterms and essays, a group of Penn students recently sold their startup for an undisclosed amount to an e-commerce company. ThirdEye Technologies created a mobile app that assists blind and visually impaired users by reading aloud descriptions of objects and converting pictures of text to speech.




Class Board 2020 has ordered mugs that many freshman did not receive in December giveaway

After starting off the year with some controversy, the Class Board of 2020 has faced both highs and lows after their first semester. One of their more ambitious projects was an event in December that they called the “12 Days of Giveaways,” in which the board gave away different free items every day for 12 days, like socks and laptop stickers.










Meet Penn's new Panhellenic president

The Penn Panhellenic Council recently named College junior Caroline Ohlson as president for 2017. A member of Chi Omega, Ohlson sits on the executive board of Abuse and Sexual Assault Prevention, is a Penn Anti-Violence Educator and is a member of the Order of Omega, a leadership honor society for greek life. She has previously served as Philanthropy Chair of her sorority and Vice President of Service and Philanthropy of the Panhellenic Council.
